TEAM BUILDING GAMES
A team building game that fits in a meeting
Most team building games need a facilitator, a sign-up or an hour. This one needs ten minutes and a link. Create a private room, share it in your meeting chat, and 3-12 colleagues play a spy or word imposter game from their own browsers while you talk on the call you are already in.
Create a room for your teamWhy it works as a team icebreaker
Everyone has to speak, but only briefly: one question, one answer or one clue at a time. Quiet colleagues get a turn without being put on the spot, and the vote at the end gets the whole team debating in a friendly way.
Rounds take a few minutes, so you can play one at the start of a meeting or several at the end of a week. Nobody needs to learn complicated rules first.
Running it in a remote meeting
The organizer only has to create the room:
- Open Start a game, choose Online and pick a game.
- Create a private room and post the invitation link in the meeting chat.
- Colleagues join with a nickname; no accounts or installs.
- Start the round; each person reads their own card in private.
- Discuss on the call, vote in the room, then rematch.
Which game for which team
Word games are the easiest start for teams: in Secret Words everyone gives a typed clue in turn, which works well even on a busy call. Spyfall suits teams that enjoy open conversation; send people the quick rules beforehand. For an in-person offsite, use one phone instead and pass it around: see party games for groups.
Other quick team building games
Rotate games so the ritual stays fresh. These need no tools and fit in a few minutes:
- Two Truths and a Lie: each colleague shares three facts, the team guesses the lie. Great for new teams.
- Would You Rather: one question per meeting, everyone answers in one sentence.
- A five-question quiz about your product, city or industry, run by a different person each week.
- A drawing game on the meeting whiteboard: one person draws a work word, everyone guesses.
- Werewolf or Mafia: for larger teams with half an hour, for example at an offsite.
What the room knows about your team
Players join with a nickname only. Rooms are private, reachable only through the invitation link or room code, and there is no public matchmaking. The site has no built-in voice or video, so the conversation stays in your own meeting tool. Details are in the privacy policy.
