PARTY GAMES FOR GROUPS

Party games for groups, ready in a minute

Looking for a party game the whole group can play without a box of cards? These three talking games work for 3 to 12 players, take a minute to explain and run on a single phone. Someone is hiding a secret, everyone else has to find them, and rounds are short enough to play again and again.

Start a group game

Games for every group size

With 3-4 players every question counts, and Spyfall keeps everyone talking. With 5-8 players all three games shine: enough voices to hide in, few enough to follow. With 9-12 players word games move faster, because each player gives one clue instead of waiting for a question.

Larger groups can still play Spyfall; set a longer timer so everybody gets asked at least once.

How one phone runs the game

You do not need a phone per person. The device deals and hides each card in turn.

  1. Pick a game and tap the collections you want.
  2. Add 3-12 players; names are optional.
  3. Pass the phone: each player taps to see their card, then hides it.
  4. Talk, ask or give clues, and vote out loud.
  5. Tap the accused player and reveal the result. Rematch keeps the score.

Each game has its own feel. Read the short guide to playing on one phone for handoff tips.

More party games for groups

A good evening mixes games. These classics need no app at all and pair well with a few rounds of Spyfall:

  • Charades: any group size, no materials. Act out a word or film title without speaking; works in teams.
  • Two Truths and a Lie: 4-15 players. Each person says three facts about themselves; the group guesses the lie. A good opener when not everyone knows each other.
  • Twenty Questions: 2 or more players. One person thinks of something, everyone else has twenty yes-or-no questions to find it.
  • A drawing guessing game: paper and pens. One player draws a word, their team guesses before the time runs out.
  • Werewolf or Mafia: 7 or more players with a moderator, for groups with half an hour or more.

At home, on a trip or offline

Open the site once while connected and wait for the offline download, and the one-phone games work on a plane, at a campsite or anywhere without signal. There are 12 location collections and 12 word collections to mix, so the same group can play all evening without repeats.
